Becoming a Member

If you tried quidditch and loved it, it’s time to become a member of our club!

We have various levels of play for everyone!

At all levels, everyone must sign the Edmonton Quidditch Membership Form.

Practice Level: At this level, you’re welcome to come out to any practices with us and participate in series of games between the U of A team and the Edmonton Aurors located here in Edmonton. The cost of this is $25 which is payable to the Edmonton Aurors Quidditch Club.

Recreational Level: At this level, you’re welcome to come out to any practices with us and participate at the four recreational level (low-contact) tournaments located in Alberta throughout the year. The cost of this is $25 payable to the Edmonton Aurors, a low-contact membership of $25 through Quidditch Canada, and any travel expenses incurred.

Competitive Level: At this level, you’re welcome to come out to any practices with us and participate in any of the 6 competitive (full-contact) tournaments located throughout Canada and the Pacific Northwest, in addition to the 4 developmental level tournaments located throughout Alberta. The cost of this is registration with either the U of A or Edmonton Aurors rec teams, plus $25 payable to the Edmonton Aurors, a full-contact membership of $45 through Quidditch Canada, and any travel expenses incurred. At this level, we also offer trip bursaries and subsidies through our fundraising dollars.

Are you a U of A student? Register with the University of Alberta Quidditch Club at the recreational level instead for only $15! This gets you all the same privileges as a recreational member, except the ability to vote at elections (this can be added on for an additional $10 fee payable to the Edmonton Aurors).
